People form bonds with their cars. And that opens the door to emotional advertising.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Herb Younger of Redondo Beach was recently reunited with the classic Chevy Impala that he bought in the fall of 1964 in Fort Collins, Colo. (and sold in the 1980s when times were tough).

The camera crew told the Younger family they were making a documentary on families, but as we can see, they were actually there to document the response of a man to his long lost Chevy.

“It was overwhelming,” Younger said. “I had no idea. It’s in the garage, and every day I go down there and touch it and think, ‘Wow, it’s really here.’”
